Dear Friends,
I am writing to invite you to join us for our upcoming fundraiser event, Trivia for Cheaters, in support of 826 MSP. This fun-filled event will take place on Thursday, May 25, at La Doña Cervecería Brewery in Minneeapolis. The event is open to everyone, and we would be delighted to have you attend!
Trivia for Cheaters is not your average fundraiser—it's a bar-trivia battle where the more money you raise, the more cheats you unlock to help your team win!
Youth writing is full of joy, and we want our supporters to experience that same joy when they attend an 826 MSP event.
That's why we are so excited to host another year of Trivia for Cheaters, our first time back in person since 2019. For those of you who have had the pleasure of playing with us in person, you may fondly remember the joyful chaos that was 100 people packed into a room, cheating their hearts out to support Twin Cities young writers. We’re ready to host Trivia the way we used to in-person, and we know that many folks are eager to participate in it. And so we present:
826 MSP's Sixth-Annual Trivia for Cheaters
The steps to participate are simple:
1. Register and assemble a team of your trivia-loving friends.
2. Raise money with the help of our 2023 Fundraising Kit. All the funds you raise before the event double as "cheat cash" to help you unlock hints and helpers during the trivia battle! Reach out to your friends, family, and social media networks and ask them to help you raise funds for our young writers (and earn the all-important cheats).
3. Gather with your team and join us at La Doña Cervecería Brewery on Thursday, May 25, from 6–9 p.m. to try and cheat your way to the top!
Other than knowing you are supporting the next generation of Twin Cities writers, is there a prize for the winning team? Yes! The top team will win a prize package including tickets and gift certificates to our favorite local venues and businesses.
