Welcome Back, Twin Cities Young Authors!

For 826 MSP, September means back-to-school and the start of a new program year! After-School Writing Lab opened on September 9th. We are pleased to welcome back many returning young authors and excited about all the new faces as well. Speaking of new faces, the 826 MSP crew has grown a lot in September! Meet Jeannine Erickson, our new Writers' Room Coordinator at South High School, by reading our blog. We also brought three new interns on board, whom you will learn more about soon.

Our Storytelling & Bookmaking Field Trips for grades 2–4 will begin soon, and we still have openings for the fall semester! This is a free field trip opportunity where classes learn the essentials of storytelling, and each student leaves with their own book! Share with teachers you know, and sign up on our website

As the month comes to an end, we have made awesome progress on our Back-to-School Campaign! We need to raise $3000 more by October 1st to unlock our matching gift of $10,000 from a generous longtime donor. You can help us serve even more young authors through our free writing, tutoring, and publishing programs by donating today. Check out our Upcoming Events below for even more opportunities to get involved—October is going to be a busy month!

See you soon!
